Join us in continuing the work of
Nelson Mandela.

Nelson Mandela was known worldwide for his dedication to the advancement of democracy, equality, and human rights. His passing in 2013 signaled the beginning of a new era – a time for us to pick up his torch and advance his legacy of peace.

NorthStar Memorial Group, in partnership with the NAACP, is constructing The Nelson Mandela Human Rights Memorial at Skylawn Memorial Park in California. The monument, to be unveiled September 29, will be a platform for introspection, inspiration and education to advance the Nobel prize winner’s ideals of social justice, democracy and peace.

The monument’s design is a reflection of Nelson Mandela’s life and legacy. The shape reflects a translation of his birth name, Rolihlahla, which means “pulling the branch of a tree”. The rectangle in the floor of the monument is the same dimensions as the cell where he was imprisoned. A series of quotations by the civil rights leader reflect his deepest thoughts during three distinct phases of his life – before, during and after imprisonment.

You can help continue his work right now by making a donation to help complete this memorial to honor Nelson Mandela’s life and legacy. It’s easy to participate: just donate $5 or more and ask your friends to do the same.

NorthStar Memorial Group is committed to raising $100,000 and will
match all funds donated by July 31 in order to complete the monument by September 2016.

Help us honor Mandela’s life’s work and inspire positive change.
